Following a strong start to the year, the direct impact of the COVID -19 - measures introduced in mid-March have resulted in a sharp fall in sales for APG|SGA. It is currently impossible to predict how long this situation will continue. The Board of Directors has therefore reassessed the situation and will propose to the ordinary General Meeting of 14 May 2020 that the dividend of CHF 11 per share originally planned and announced be cancelled.
After a very pleasing start to the year in which growth in the first two months even exceeded that of the previous years, the closure of shops and wide-reaching restrictions in public life and on public transport ordered by the Federal Council as part of its pandemic measures, which will last until at least 19 April 2020, are having a significant negative effect on APG|SGA’s business activities. Although it is currently impossible to predict the economic consequences, the company must assume that there will be a substantial fall in sales in the coming weeks or months. The Board of Directors and Management of APG|SGA have therefore decided to bring in short-time working as of 24 March 2020 until further notice.
At the Annual General Meeting on 14 May 2020, the Board of Directors of APG|SGA AG will nominate Maya Bundt and Jolanda Grob as new, additional Board members.
Of the 36 campaigns nominated, 18 were presented with Swiss Poster Awards – and the vegetarian "Kein Tier im Visier" (Don’t shoot me) campaign was also awarded the accolade of "2019 Poster of the Year". Given the special situation in Switzerland, the gold, silver and bronze trophies will be personally presented to the winners in the next few days. The APG|SGA Poster Night was not held because of the spread of the coronavirus.
Positive growth dynamic in Switzerland. Margin decline due to higher concession fees for strategic contracts. Strong expansion of the digital portfolio. Dividend of CHF 11 per share.
