APG|SGA Sustainability Report 2025: significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions

May 7, 2026

APG|SGA has published its 2025 annual Sustainability Report, thereby reaffirming the key importance of transparency and measurable progress as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy.

APG|SGA achieved significant sustainability milestones in its 125th anniversary year. The greenhouse gas emissions of the entire Group were reduced by 46% compared with the previous year. The switch to renewable electricity at the Group company Alma Quattro d.o.o. in Serbia was a key factor in this. As a result, the proportion of renewable electricity Group-wide rose from 70% to 100%. This means that APG|SGA met its emission reduction targets and achieved the interim target of 100% renewable electricity for 2025. Since 2014, the electricity purchased in Switzerland for illuminated advertising, digital advertising, all commercial properties and electric vehicles has been sourced entirely from hydropower, which has been awarded the “naturemade star” quality seal, the highest quality level for green electricity.

In addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by switching to renewable electricity, a new fleet strategy was rolled out in 2025 to gradually electrify the vehicle fleet and will reduce annual emissions by around 700 tonnes of CO2 equivalents in future.

APG|SGA’s efforts have received external recognition: in the recertification audit for the EcoEntreprise label it achieved the highest level, “EcoEntreprise Excellence”. Additionally, the company once again received the top score of A in the Climate category in the international CDP rating, making it one of the world’s leading companies in terms of the transparency and quality of climate reporting. The renewed certification as a “Great Place to Work” affirms the company’s commitment to social responsibility and a corporate culture of mutual appreciation.

With its 23rd Sustainability Report, APG|SGA is reinforcing its commitment to making corporate social responsibility an integral part of its business activities. Systematic reporting and consistent greenhouse gas accounting remain key tools for making measurable progress and actively advancing the company’s sustainable transformation.

Note on cover image
The Sustainability Report’s cover image shows the renaturalised floodplain in Reussegger Schachen in Sins, Aargau. Along new branches of the Reuss, steep and shallow banks, sandbanks and ponds have been created to provide habitats for numerous animal and plant species, many of which are threatened with extinction. The ewz “naturemade star” fund covered around a fifth of the project costs. By purchasing “naturemade star” electricity, APG|SGA contributes to the financing of biodiversity projects.
