APG|SGA AG (hereinafter “APG|SGA” or “we”) is committed to an open and transparent approach to data protection. We comply with data protection legislation and endeavour to handle personal data with care. This privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

By ‘personal data’ we mean any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual. When we refer to ‘processing’ in this privacy policy, we mean the collection, storage, alteration, use, disclosure, archiving and/or erasure of personal data.
We only collect personal data where this is necessary for the provision of our own services and for the processing of transactions carried out with APG|SGA, and where it enables us to offer our customers and partners a better service.
We collect your personal data whenever we are in contact with you; this may be online or through day-to-day, face-to-face contact. For example, we store your personal data in the following circumstances:
You are a business partner (partner, customer, supplier);
You are applying for an internship, apprenticeship or job;
You are visiting one of our online services (see section 5 et seq.);
You subscribe to a newsletter or take part in a competition;
You are taking part in a market research or opinion poll;
You can get in touch with us on special occasions such as the farm festival, the Annual General Meeting, etc.
We store, amongst other things, the following personal data

Role, Organisational reporting structure
Inclusion on mailing lists
Survey results
Websites visited, clicks
Submitted application documents
APG|SGA avoids processing sensitive personal data as far as possible, for example regarding your political opinions, your religious and philosophical beliefs, your trade union membership, your health, your sex life or your racial origin. Please note that providing personal data to us on a voluntary basis may result in us storing your personal data.
In order to tailor our website to users’ preferences and make your browsing experience as convenient as possible, we use what are known as ‘cookies’. A cookie is a small text file that is copied from a website onto your hard drive. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses. No personal data is stored in the cookies we use.
The use of cookies requires your explicit consent.
You can opt out of the use of cookies at any time by deleting the cookies set by the APG|SGA online services. You can do this via the settings in your web browser by deleting the cookies or your browsing history. If you choose not to use cookies, you may not be able to save some of your settings and preferences, which means you will have to re-enter them each time. Similarly, data relating to your usage of our applications may only be collected to a limited extent, or not at all.
We make use of the services of various service providers and partners (third parties), which means that your data may also be processed by these organisations. We require third parties to process the personal data they receive in accordance with APG|SGA’s privacy policy. On our websites, we use the services of Google Inc. and Facebook in particular. We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., as our tracking system. Further information on Google Analytics can be found at https://support.google.com/analytics
To protect your orders placed via the online form, we use, amongst other things, the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google Inc. This check is designed to distinguish between entries made by a human and those made maliciously via automated, machine-based processing. Our website uses social plugins (“plugins”) from the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc. (“Facebook”). The plugins are identified by a Facebook logo or the words “Facebook Social Plugin”.

Furthermore, APG|SGA’s online services may contain links to third-party websites. APG|SGA makes no representations and gives no warranties regarding such websites. It should be noted that the owners and operators of such third-party websites may collect, use or disclose personal data under conditions that differ from those of APG|SGA. We use the e-recruitment solution provided by Ostendis AG, CH-5706 Boniswil (VAT No.: CHE-102.097.261), which processes applications and acts as our data processor for recruitment purposes. Personal data is neither analysed in detail by machine (profiling) nor are automated data processing methods used for decision-making (matching). The data is stored by Ostendis AG in a data centre operated by the Swiss company Datawire AG (www.datawire.ch) in Steinhausen, Switzerland, stored on Ostendis AG’s own infrastructure.
You may exercise your data protection rights at any time. You have the right to request information about what data is stored and processed about you. You may request that this data be corrected or deleted.

We ensure that personal data is protected against unauthorised processing by means of appropriate technical and organisational measures.
We are legally obliged to inform you of the data controller responsible for the data file containing your personal data. The data controller is APG|SGA AG.
With the exception of the IT service providers referred to in clause 9, we do not disclose any personal data to third parties. This is subject to cases where such disclosure is required by law or ordered by a court ruling.
The data will be retained for as long as is necessary to provide our services or for as long as we are required to do so by law. Applicants’ data will be retained for up to one year following the conclusion of the application process, after which it will be deleted. The data may be deleted earlier upon notification to recruiting@apgsga.ch take place. Applicants’ data will be used in anonymised form for internal analysis.

The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this Privacy Policy is Zurich. APG|SGA is, however, entitled to bring proceedings against you before the competent court at your place of residence or business, or before any other competent court. This Privacy Policy is governed by Swiss law. Should there be any omissions in this Privacy Policy, or should individual provisions be invalid or void, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this Privacy Policy. The invalid or void provision shall be replaced by a legally permissible provision that is capable of achieving the intended purpose as far as possible.
APG|SGA expressly reserves the right to amend this privacy policy. Any amendments will be published on the relevant websites without delay. Where necessary, your consent to the amendments will be sought.
