New City ePanel in Schaffhausen’s Old Town – offering added value for residents and advertisers

APG|SGA, in collaboration with the City of Schaffhausen, has commissioned three new double-sided City ePanels in Schaffhausen’s old town. These state-of-the-art digital advertising displays combine cultural content and commercial advertising messages in equal measure. The installation of the City ePanels forms part of the tender process and the ten-year concession agreement between the City of Schaffhausen and APG|SGA, thereby creating a sustainable and forward-looking solution for digital outdoor advertising in the city.

Switzerland’s leading outdoor advertising company makes a valuable contribution to public information whilst offering attractive advertising opportunities in a high-footfall public space. With the new City ePanel, both the city and local, national and international advertisers benefit from the opportunity to use modern digital screens for their messages. The high-resolution 75-inch screens are situated in prime locations in the old town and allow for flexible, programmatic booking and broadcasting of advertising content.

A particular added benefit: the city of Schaffhausen uses the digital screens specifically for cultural promotion, enabling it to keep the public up to date on events, cultural offerings and happenings. The city has half of the advertising time at its disposal, with the six screens in total divided equally between commercial advertising and the city’s cultural content. The city manages its content via the APG|SGA content management system. This ensures that the city can update, plan or adjust cultural information and announcements online at any time, flexibly and at short notice.

This combination demonstrates how digital displays are not only used for commercial purposes, but also make an important contribution to keeping the public informed and connected. At the same time, the city benefits further from commercial bookings without having to invest in the technical infrastructure. The new City ePanels are energy-efficient and are powered by 100 per cent green electricity, ensuring sustainable use.
