Schindler and APG|SGA join forces: New service featuring 150 screens in hotel lifts across the Swiss Alps

Following a tender process, APG|SGA has been awarded the exclusive contract to act as a partner for the ‘Schindler Media Network’ in Switzerland. In the initial phase, up to spring 2023, around 150 screens will be installed in lifts at hotels in tourist and mountain regions throughout Switzerland and operated as both an advertising and communication platform for hotel guests.

APG|SGA, the market leader in outdoor advertising, is opening a new digital chapter with the marketing of screens in Schindler lifts. “In recent years, we have invested heavily in digital platforms such as APG|SGA easy and Programmatic for our clients. This means we are now in a position to offer advertisers further digital advertising spaces – in addition to the large-format ePanels and eBoards – in a simple and automated manner. The high-quality screens in Schindler’s hotel lifts are ideally suited for this purpose,” says Markus Ehrle, CEO of APG|SGA.

The new Elevator ePanels (32-inch, Full HD, portrait orientation) enable local and national advertisers to display dynamic content in hotel lifts in tourist and mountain regions. On the one hand, the screens can be booked for very specific, target-group-oriented campaigns; on the other hand, as part of the APG|SGA offering in mountain regions, they can be optimally integrated into the customer journey. Following the roll-out of the initial 150 or so new screens, the network will be continuously expanded and further developed.

Hotel guests often use the lifts
“Digital advertising spaces in lifts offer great potential for keeping passengers informed and making the journey more entertaining. In hotels in particular, almost all guests use the lift. This enables hotel operators to engage with and entertain their guests directly – for example, with dining offers, hotel services such as the spa, or relevant information for tourists. We were thoroughly impressed by APG|SGA’s proposal and are very much looking forward to the new partnership,” says Patrick Hess, CEO of Schindler Aufzüge AG.
