1 March 2022
A total of 18 Swiss Poster Awards in gold, silver and bronze were presented from among 33 nominees and a total of 220 analogue and digital campaigns submitted. The ‘When art has to move’ campaign was awarded the ‘Poster of the Year 2021’. The trophies will be presented to the winners in person, and all the winning entries will be showcased in an award-winners’ video. The traditional APG|SGA Poster Night is then scheduled to take place again next year.
The award in the ‘Poster of the Year 2021’ category goes to Welti-Furrer Fine Art AG and its agency Ruf Lanz Zurich for the ‘When art has to move’ campaign. The posters depict iconic spaces from various art periods, shown empty on billboard spaces, with a caption illustrating what it looks like when the specialists from Welti-Furrer have been there. This creative and aesthetically pleasing advertising campaign was launched just in time for the return of Art Basel and celebrates artistic emptiness.
With this project, Welti-Furrer Fine Art AG also secured the gold award in the ‘Commercial Local and Regional’ category. In addition to these two awards, the work by the creative agency Ruf Lanz Zurich was honoured with seven further trophies.
