The City of Thun has awarded APGǀSGA a contract, effective from 2024, to maintain and manage billboard sites on public land for a further five years. The contract was awarded following a public tender process.
There are around 280 advertising hoardings on public land in the city of Thun. These are currently managed by APGǀSGA. As the existing contract expires at the end of 2023, the city of Thun has this year put out a public tender for commercial billposting on public land, with the contract due to commence in 2024. APGǀSGA has once again been awarded the contract following the tender process. The new contract will come into force on 1 January 2024 and will run for a further five years.
The poster campaign concept sets out the framework
The billposting policy, which sets out the framework conditions, forms the basis for billposting on public land. In this policy, the city indicates that it is, in principle, open to other forms of digital advertising. As before, 30 free F4-sized poster displays are available for cultural events. The City of Thun’s Culture Department coordinates the posting of these posters. In the interests of equal treatment, the city continues to offer all Thun-based event organisers advertising in the format of a F4 poster at a 50 per cent discount. APGǀSGA guarantees these preferential terms in the new contract. For club poster advertising, it maintains 20 free poster sites in F4 format spread across the whole city.
