In 2019, APG|SGA aligned its climate strategy with the Paris Agreement and brought its existing climate targets into line with the 1.5-degree future. To this end, medium- and long-term science-based climate targets were set for direct emissions (Scope 1) and emissions from purchased energy (Scope 2) for our activities in Switzerland, using 2017 as the base year. The target of a 30 per cent reduction in CO₂eq emissions by 2023 compared with 2017 levels was achieved. In 2024, new targets were calculated using 2023 as the base year to take account of the updated SBTi guidelines and to extend the system boundaries to cover the entire Group, including Scope 3 emissions.
