Memberships, participation and labels: achieving goals together

Multi-stakeholder initiatives enable us to implement our corporate social responsibility strategy more quickly and effectively. We are involved in the following organisations and initiatives.

United Nations Global Compact

The UN Global Compact is the world’s largest sustainability initiative for businesses. Participants commit to sustainable business practices. By adhering to the ten principles of the UN Global Compact and implementing strategic measures, the aim is to achieve broader societal goals, such as the Sustainable Development Goals.

The certificate is based on the ISO 26000 standard, ‘Guidance on Social Responsibility’, and demonstrates to the public – and in particular to stakeholders in the partner and advertising markets – that APG|SGA operates a comprehensive sustainability and risk management system.

CDP

APG|SGA has been reporting in the Climate Change category since 2017. We are proud to have achieved the second-highest Grade A- . This makes the company one of the world’s leaders in climate protection, and it intends to remain so.

CEO4Climate

CEO4Climate represents decision-makers in the Swiss business community who wish to make a significant contribution to climate protection. The right political framework and greater leadership from the business community are crucial to ensuring that Switzerland achieves its ‘net zero’ target and that Swiss companies also contribute to reducing CO₂ emissions abroad.

Our CEO, Markus Ehrle confesses to the key points from CEO4Climate.

Energy Agency for Industry (EnAW)

Since 2011, APG|SGA has had a target agreement with the Energy Agency for Industry, which sets out an energy efficiency target. Thanks to various technical measures and improvements, the annual target has been met every year to date.

Fair-ON-Pay

The Fair-ON-Pay standard requires companies to have their pay equality between women and men audited and to demonstrate that they comply with it. APG|SGA has been certified with the ‘Fair-ON-Pay’ label since 2021, and since 2023 we have even held the higher-level ‘Fair-ON-Pay Advanced». This means that the gender pay gap must be below the tolerance threshold of 2.5 per cent.

Great Place To Work®

APG|SGA has been certified as a Great Place To Work® since 2023. The certification is awarded on the basis of a standardised employee survey, in which an average approval rating of at least 65 per cent must be achieved. The survey provides important insights that are used on an ongoing basis to drive improvements.

Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)

The SBTi is mobilising the private sector to take the lead on urgent climate action. Science-based targets show companies how much and how quickly they need to decarbonise in order to prevent the worst effects of climate change. By setting ambitious, self-imposed science-based emissions reduction targets, companies can make a significant contribution to protecting the climate.

APG|SGA has signed the commitment letter and will shortly be submitting updated group-wide reduction targets.
