Responsibility in the supply chain

Through our meticulous supply chain management, which takes social, environmental and economic factors into account, we pursue clear objectives:

  • We want to build long-term, sustainable partnerships with companies that share our values.

  • Human rights and fair working conditions must be upheld throughout the entire value chain.

  • Our suppliers contribute to reducing our indirect emissions – and thus to achieving our climate target – through their own climate and environmental protection measures.

We are proud to have numerous long-standing partnerships with locally based Swiss companies, thereby supporting Switzerland’s SME sector. Nevertheless, we regularly review both our national and international suppliers and require them to comply with labour and human rights standards and to provide fair working conditions. In addition, their climate and environmental performance is assessed and compared with our reduction pathway. Last but not least, all legal requirements regarding reporting and transparency must be met.

When we enter into business relationships with new suppliers and service providers, the company concerned must complete a self-declaration questionnaire and sign a Code of Conduct governing our collaboration.
