How VWNF used data-driven mobile targeting to engage relevant B2B contacts – in a targeted, efficient manner and without wasted reach.
AMAG Automobil und Motoren AG aimed to focus its B2B communications more clearly on specific sectors. Rather than seeking as many contacts as possible, the aim was to target businesses in the heating, plumbing and electrical sectors. The objective was to prioritise quality, relevance and measurable impact over sheer reach.
In autumn 2025, VWNF launched a national mobile campaign using aymo. At the heart of the concept was a location-based approach targeting specialist businesses in the immediate working environment. Using aymo ReTarget, companies were identified on the basis of up-to-date industry data and targeted within a narrow geographical radius. The campaign was deliberately run in short time slots to focus attention and maximise efficiency.
Period: 1–21 September 2025
Targeting: Heating, plumbing and electrical firms (within an 80-metre radius)
Ad impressions: 237,989
Click-through rate (CTR): 1.87%

The results show that the targeted B2B approach led to solid performance and a high level of attention within the relevant target sectors. In particular, the combination of precise targeting and a clear message contributed to the campaign’s efficiency and quality.
“In B2B marketing, it’s not reach that counts, but relevance. With our new online strategy, we’re focusing on high-quality content and visual appeal to target the relevant sectors.”
