Schindler has been making a difference for 150 years

Schindler Aufzüge AG is celebrating its 150th anniversary with a full-body livery on a locomotive. Before the Schindler locomotive set off on its journey across Switzerland, it was christened at Ebikon station and later at the Schindler Campus during a festive event, where it was celebrated by staff.

“We have 13 branches across Switzerland – with this locomotive, we want to raise our profile in German-speaking Switzerland, but above all in French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino,” emphasises Erich Thoma, Head of Field Operations.
For this reason, the slogan “We’ve been on the move for 150 years. Up and down, too.” – in German, French and Italian – adorns the sides and front of the locomotive.

The proud words of the CEO and those involved in the project, the beaming faces of the staff, and the great enthusiasm shown even by external trainspotters made the launch event an unforgettable occasion.
