The APG|SGA foundation for vocational training

Our actions and attitudes are in tune with our values and the principles of cooperation, management and leadership – and that includes our vocational training. By offering various forms of basic vocational training we aim not only to motivate young people to take up the training itself, but also to inspire them to join our industry – and build our future. We see this as both an economic and sociopolitical function.
Our apprentices are our future and help APG|SGA to stay on course for success. That’s why we encourage and promote them in their careers. This is a place where you can show what you’re made of, with opportunities to contribute ideas and take on responsibility. At APG|SGA, we lay the foundation for an exciting career path. Your future begins with training.

Our values form the foundation of our vocational training, too:
Enthusiasm

Apprentices are integrated into the regular working process in our company and receive a level of training commensurate with their tasks, responsibilities and skills. Linking up theory and practice enables a holistic approach to hands-on learning. With this and a demanding, motivating and varied course of training, we get young people through their basic vocational training with enthusiasm and enjoyment. Our attitude helps convey our passion and optimism to our young people, helping us achieve our shared goals. That’s something we’re committed to.

Partnership

We give our apprentices a professional, comprehensive and tailored training program. This offers them security and helps our apprentices to get an overall view of their professional training from the very beginning. For the entire training period, our apprentices are supported by specialists as either practical or vocational trainers. We listen to our apprentices, support them and take responsibility. Constructive cooperation and team spirit are top priorities for us. That means mistakes and criticism are allowed – and help us grow. Our approach is guided by the principles of fairness, reliability and mutual appreciation. By teaching specialist content alongside personal, social and methodological skills, we want to help each young person grow and develop as a whole.

Entrepreneurship

We want apprentices to get their bearings and feel at home with us from the very beginning. APG|SGA places great importance on a professional and friendly welcome – from the first day at work, with every change of department, and of course throughout the basic vocational training.

Integrity

We talk to our new apprentices about our values and their significance as well our guidelines for collaboration, management and leadership. They should learn how important our values and our corporate culture are to APG|SGA. We are committed to ethical, moral and lawful conduct.

Transparency

From the outset, we conduct open dialogue with our apprentices and offer them clear, comprehensible information on their level of training and opportunities for improvement. This open communication aids ongoing development. We always have the same shared goal in mind: making sure the apprentices pass the final examination for basic vocational training and preparing them as well as we possibly can for the working world of the future.

Sustainability

A professional, thorough recruitment process forms the foundation for optimal apprenticeship placement. Our apprentices are prepared step-by-step for their entry into professional life. Successful integration into the working world is a sustainable step toward a shared future. APG|SGA also supports the continuing career paths of apprentices within the company.
What makes training at APG|SGA so special? The exciting range of activities on offer. Our apprentices have the opportunity to experience multiple departments. We take our role as a training organisation seriously and support our apprentices throughout their entire training. We engage in regular dialogue with them and constantly review the training programme and planned tasks and activities.
