APG|SGA AG (hereinafter referred to as “APG|SGA” or “we”) applies an open and transparent approach which extends to the area of data protection. We adhere to data protection legislation and endeavour to handle personal data carefully. This privacy policy provides you with information about how we handle personal data.

2. Personal data
We define “personal data” as all information that relates to an identified or identifiable person. When we refer to “processing” in this privacy policy, we mean the acquisition, storage, modification, use, disclosure, archiving and/or erasure of personal data.
We only request personal data where we need it to provide our own services and to process transactions made with APG|SGA, and where it allows us to provide better service to our customers and partners.
3. When do we store personal data?
We collect your personal data whenever we have contact with you, either online or in daily, personal contact. For example, we store your personal data in the following circumstances:

Wherever possible, APG|SGA avoids processing particularly sensitive personal data; this includes information about your political opinions, your religious and philosophical convictions, your trade union affiliation, your health, your sex life or your racial identity. Please note that when you voluntarily provide us with personal data, this data may be stored.
5. Cookies
We use “cookies” to adapt our website to users’ wishes and to make your browsing experience as convenient as possible. A cookie is a small text file that is copied from a website to your hard drive. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. None of the cookies we use store personal data.
6. Consent to cookies/opt-in
The use of cookies requires your express consent.
7. Deletion of cookies and browsing history
You can decide against use of cookies at any time by deleting the cookies set by APG|SGA online services. You can do this by deleting the cookies and/or browsing history in the settings of your internet browser. If you decide not to use cookies, some of your settings and preferences may not be retained, which means that you will have to enter them anew on each visit. Similarly, usage data on the way you use our applications might only be collected to a limited extent or not at all.
8. Third-party services
We use the services of various service providers and partners (third parties), which means your data may also be processed by these companies. We require third parties to adhere with APG|SGA’s privacy policy when they process any personal data received from us. In particular, we use services from Google Inc. and Facebook on our websites. To protect the information you enter in internet forms, we use the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google Inc., which helps determine whether an entry is made by a human or if it results from improper automated machine processing. Our website uses social plugins (“plugins”) from the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc. (“Facebook”). These plugins are marked with a Facebook logo or tagged as “Facebook social plugin”.

APG|SGA’s online services may also contain links to third-party websites. APG|SGA makes no representations and offers no guarantee with respect to such websites. We work with the e-recruiting solution supplied by Ostendis AG, 5706 Boniswil, Switzerland (UID: CHE
102.097.261), which handles the processing of job applications and performs the role of contract data processor on our behalf in recruitment. Personal data is not analysed in detail by machine (profiling), nor are automated data processing methods used for decision-making (matching). Ostendis AG stores this data on Ostendis AG’s own infrastructure within a data centre operated by the Swiss company Datawire AG (www.datawire.ch) in Steinhausen, Switzerland.
9. Rights in relation to personal data
You may assert your data protection rights at any time. You have the right to request information about the data concerning you that we store and process. You may request its rectification or erasure.

10. Data security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure that personal data is protected against unauthorised processing.
11. Owner of the data collection
We are legally obliged to inform you of the owner of the data collection that contains your personal data. The owner of the data collection is APG|SGA AG.
12. Disclosure of personal data
With the exception of the IT service providers mentioned in section nine, we do not pass on any personal data to third parties. Nonetheless, we reserve the right to disclose data as required under law or by court order.
13. Duration of data storage
Data is kept for as long as it is required for the provision of our services or for as long as we are obliged to do so under law. Job applicant data is retained for up to one year after completion of the application procedure and then erased. You can request earlier erasure by sending a message to recruiting@apgsga.ch. Job applicant data is used in anonymised form for internal evaluation.

15. Final provisions
The place of jurisdiction for any disputes arising from this privacy policy is Zurich. However, APG|SGA is entitled to bring proceedings against you before the competent court at your place of residence or place of business, or any other competent court. This privacy policy is subject to Swiss law. Should this privacy policy contain gaps or individual provisions that are invalid or void, this does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this privacy policy. The invalid or void provision is to be replaced by a legally permissible provision which comes as close as possible to the intended result.
APG|SGA expressly reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy. Changes are published immediately on the respective websites. Where necessary, we will seek your consent to the changes.
